SimCity 3000 - Hints Seaports: Go Deep When planning a seaport, be sure to place it near deep water. If the water is too shallow, ships won't be able to travel through the waterways to reach your port. Seaports: Size Matters When zoning for your seaports, be sure to make them at least 5 x 8 squares, or even larger if there is sufficient demand for industrial zones. Seaports that are smaller than this minimum size won't develop. Crooks Like Baseball, Too Every move you make has both positive and negative effects. Build a stadium to create a more appealing city, and you'll also increase crime in that area. While you're saving up for it, make sure you budget for a few crime-lowering improvements to balance things out. Be a Deal Maker Look to develop neighbour deals early on. Specifically, make sure you have excess garbage capacity, then contract to handle another city's garbage. Sure it's smelly, but it brings in much- needed income. Ordinance Recommendations It is highly recommended that you pass the Farmer's Market and Shuttle Service Ordinances, and that you do not pass Public Access Cable. - o -
