Total Paddling Mania By Aloysius Beltway (Part of Disk 1279) Suffered by John Ferris (PC) A newcomer to the Adventure /Interactive Fiction scene on the Internet would first be impressed by the sheer number of games available for his or her perusal. However, after a few downloads they will find that the quality varies dramatically, from the extremely wonderful to the extremely awful. Total Paddling Mania fits the latter category for me. Paddling in this case refers to a certain form of corporal punishment involving the use of a paddle, or glorified table tennis bat. I have no idea what the aim (or even the point) of this alleged game is supposed to be. I managed to obtain a paddle, restrain a child and obtain 50 points (out of a total of 0) by giving him or her a good paddling. There was very little else to do. I might be missing something here and if I am, then I think I should be glad. A sad, sad "game" for which I can find no redeeming features, avoid like the plague. - o -
