Tomb Raider : Last Revelation tips Give Lara Enough Rope Ropes aren't just for show. Lara can climb up, slide down, and back- flip off ropes. And, with enough momentum, she can even swing from them. Time for a Little Adventure Following negative feedback from gamers who found the wide-open levels of Tomb Raider III confusing, most of The Last Revelation's puzzles are locked in, linear affairs that you must solve before Lara can move to the next room. The gameplay is also very different from that of its predecessors. Instead of pushing and pulling blocks, Lara has to simultaneously use more than one inventory item in order to solve puzzles. Adventure gaming veterans will recognize this drill of last resort: if you get stuck, try all the possible combinations of inventory items until you find success. Skeleton Frag Fest The first time you try to shoot a Skeleton, you're in for a surprise: it's already dead! Lara's bullets just fly between the rib bones. Don't get mad; get creative. There are several ways to frag these bony fellows. If you insist on shooting them, make sure you do it with the shotgun while they're close to a ledge. The force of the blast will conveniently knock them over the edge, to be crushed below. Whacking them with a big stick should also work, if you're willing to get close. You can get good results combining the LaserSight with Lara's revolver and aiming at their heads. This won't kill them, but they have such a hard time getting around after their heads have shattered that they will eventually stumble into ruin. If you can get them to chase you into a body of water, they will get stuck there, and even dissolve if it's deep enough. Or you can just lose them, for a while at least, if Lara can get out of sight or on a different plane. - o -
