                  Sad News from Underdogs

Just received a grim letter from ISDA Anti-Piracy department,
addressed to our domain registrar Register.com. ALL downloads
except freeware games have been taken offline as a result. Please
bookmark the forum for now-- IF our domain is truly taken down
(even after the removal of all copyrighted material), the forum
will still remain up for discussions of further progress. We
consider ourselves gaming historians first and foremost, and so
we'll do our best to keep up the site, even if it had to be
turned into a freeware / gaming information site similar to
MobyGames (which won't be such a bad idea, actually, since that
means we'll be 100% legal and can fully and actively promote the
site as the central gathering for oldies lovers of all ages, and
NOW we can also actively pursue many initiatives we always
planned, such as "free the code" campaigns-- more details later!)

We thank you for your support of this site, and look forward to a
significant transformation from an "abandonware" place into a 100%
legitimate site. If you would like to voice support and/or
opinions on the ISDA's decision, please e-mail the ISDA's
anti-piracy department (idsaintern@idsa.com). We really think this
site is too valuable for the old games community to die, and we
hope you feel the same way :)
