The sleeping policeman

In Day Six you have to get into the police station by sneaking
past the desk sargeant when he falls asleep. Unfortunately, this
game was programmed several years ago when computers weren't so
fast and on modern PCs you'll find the policeman will wake up
before you can get past him.

Sierra must have realised this because on the latest copies of GK
is a 'slow down' program. If you have one of the original copies,
you'll have to get your own. Before you go into the police
station, minimise the game using the keyboard, run the program,
set it to 30%, bring the game window back up and then you'll have
enough time before he wakes up.
