Here is what it is all about!

From the moment Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac set foot on Shadow
Island, they confronted by mysterious, evil creatures intent on
thwarting their progress to recover 3 ancient tablets believed to
hold the secret key to some incredible menacing phenomena. Fears
threaten from every corner. The slightest shadow could be hiding
deep secrets, or concealing worse nightmares...

Edward Carnby's best friend, Charles Fiske, died during an
investigation on Shadow Island, a mysterious island off the coast
of Boston. Carnby contacts Fiske's client and offers to take over
the case. The client, Frederick Johnson, accepts but insists on
sending along an assistant, a young professor specializing in
Indian languages, Aline Cedrac. The goal of their investigation is
to recover a set of coveted stone tablets that bear mysterious,
and as yet undeciphered, inscriptions. During the flight, Carnby
tells Aline Cedrac of his suspicions that Obed Morton, the owner
of the tablets, is responsible for Fiske's death.

As the pilot begins to fly over the island, the hydroplane seems
to come under attack from a strange force. Carnby and Aline Cedrac
have no choice but to parachute. Carnby lands in an abandoned
garden while Aline is nearly injured landing on the rooftops of a
dark manor house.

Carnby and Aline must soon face a host of strange creatures
straight from Hell. The few living humans that they meet seem to
be in the grip of an indescribable fear or destructive madness.
