Zeus: Master of Olympus A few hints from Sue The default for storehouses is to have wheat, armour and bronze not accepted. I realised this when I (a) lost a gift of 24 bars of bronze which an ally wanted to give me but said I 'didn't have room for it' when I had several storehouses with space and then (b) found that the workers couldn't deliver armour because no-one would take it. (I'm still annoyed about losing that bronze!) In the third act of the first scenario, Ares' City, where you're trying to get at least 50 people in one residence, only build one in the best place you can find and give it all the goodies it needs. As wine etc is in short supply in this scenario, and one so-called ally will ask you to send some on several occasions, you don't want to spread it too thinly and run out. When you have to build Theseus' Hall, surround it with walls from the military menu and put a gatehouse at the front. Also a road must run in front of the gatehouse otherwise you'll be told your city isn't worthy of him (it wouldn't have been easier if they'd said 'Theseus can't get in or out!') When the kraken attacks, it will destroy any water-based industries like fisheries, and also import/export piers. You will have to work quickly. Build a pier and put a storehouse right next to it. Set the import level to maximum and set the storehouse to GET the required imported item. Hope it's all picked up before the pier is destroyed. I did this for importing olive oil (you don't need much), fleece and marble to start off with. Then when I needed money, I exported marble which I'd been given. Once the kraken is destroyed you can import easily, but the first part of this scenario is a pain. When the Calydonian Boar attacks another city and they ask for help, send Perseus if you haven't got Theseus, rather than not sending anyone. - o -
