Blair Witch 3 : Elly Kedward Solution by Peter Clark Jonathon Prye begins the game by reading aloud a letter that he is writing to Baltimore in Maryland. He must rediscover his own faith before returning home. He will be travelling to the town of Blair to investigate strange happenings. Go forwards into the town and a woman who tells you that everyone is leaving town will meet you. Try the doors of a few of the houses and you will find that they are all locked up. Go towards the church at the end of the street and two men will talk to you and tell you that the only two people left in town are the Magistrate and Father Goodfellow. Go to the house on the right as you face the church and turn to your right as you enter. You meet Jonah, the magistrate, who will tell you that he has two suspects locked up in the cells. He will also tell you about an old woman called Elly Kedward who was accused of being a witch and left to die in the forest. The two suspects in the jail are the town drunk and Elizabeth Styler who is also accused of being a witch. Jonah will suggest that you visit Coffin Rock and will give you a map showing the way. He will also allow you to take his key to the cells. Take the wanted poster from the wall in his office then leave the house and go to the Church. Go through the door at the back and talk to Father Goodfellow. After you have talked to him, leave the church by the back door and walk around the back of the church until you find the gallows and the hanging woman. Go down the steps and use the key to enter the jail. Talk to the drunk and he will ask you to fetch his bottle of whiskey from the barn. Leave the jail and go back to the main street. Go into the barn. This is the next building on the same side as the Magistrate's house. Go inside and draw your gun, as a mad dog will attack you. Kill the dog and then go into the second stall where you will find the whiskey bottle. Take this and the missing persons poster from the wall then go back to the jail. Give it to the drunk and he will tell you more about Elly Kedward. The woman in the cell next door will wake and give you more information. Look at the strange markings on the floor of her cell. Leave the jail and follow the path around to the rear of the town. Go across the bridge past all the dead bodies and into the woods. Keep walking past the bodies until you come to a large tree. Turn left here and keep going forward until you come to a log bridge. Cross the bridge and go forward until you reach the intersection. Go right here and go forward until you arrive at Coffin Rock. There is a small girl tied to the rock and, as you go to look at her, zombies will attack you. You will have to kill all the zombies before you are able to rescue the girl and automatically return to the town. You now find yourself at the church talking to Jonah and Father Goodfellow. You discuss together the small girl who had been missing. Jonah will give you his rifle. Father Goodfellow tells you about a priest who is buried in the Cemetery. He has a cross buried with him that has strong powers. He gives you a scroll and tells you to read it out loud by the Cemetery gates. Leave the church and go to the Cemetery. You read out the scroll and the gates open. As you enter, you are attacked by more demons. When you have killed all of them, the Priest demon will attack you. You must kill this demon quickly before picking up the cross. Leave the Cemetery and return the cross to Father Goodfellow at the church. He will then teach you how to use it. Leave the church and return to the jail. Talk to Styler and she will ask you to fetch her spell book from her cottage as it contains a map showing the way to Elly Kedward's home in the woods. She gives you the key to her cottage. Leave the jail and go back in front of the church towards the Cemetery. Her cottage is the grey one just before you reach the Cemetery. Open the door and go in. It is quite dark so you will have to use your lamp to see properly. You will find the spell book in the far corner by the circle of candles. As soon as you have the book, another demon will attack you. Kill this as quickly as possible. Pick up the test tube of health if you are in need of it. Go back to the jail and give her the book. She will give you a spell box to use against any trouble that you might encounter in the woods. Leave the jail and go back into the woods. As you enter the woods for the second time you will see a white wolf. You will automatically follow it to the house of Asgaya. Go inside and he will explain the belief of Hecaitomix the Dark Spirit who took non-believers as sacrifices. He tells you that you must visit three worlds and bring them together and that you must save the remaining children. You don't believe Asgaya or the Dark Spirit tales that he tells. You say that you will have to follow your own instincts. Asgaya tells you that you will remain powerless until you overcome your fears. Leave the hut and follow the path. Turn left at the first junction and left again at the next. You will have to kill the zombies on the way but you will pick up extra strength and bullets. Turn left at the big tree and then left again at the smaller tree stump. Use the map with TAB Key to find your way past the well to the Elly Kedward house. Go inside and try to open the cellar trapdoor. The Kedward Demon will talk to you and throw you out of the house telling you to return only when you are ready. Find your way back to Asgaya's using the map and the TAB Key. He will give you a voodoo doll that will detect the presence of evil. He also gives you something that will help you to see inside yourself. Go back to the Kedward House and kill the demon then go down into the cellar and rescue the Indian boy. He will give you an eagle talisman that will enable you to travel great distances. As you leave, Asgaya will appear and tell you about the Spirit and the Demon Plane. He gives you a Twana that will enable you to enter the Spirit Plane. He also gives you a restorative spell. Follow the map to the Spirit gate and use the Twana on it. Lightning bolts will flash around you and you will be transported to the Spirit Plane. As you arrive, Asgaya appears and warns you to be careful as, if you die here, you will also die in the real world. Cross over each bridge killing the zombies along the way and collect more manna and ammunition. Continue down through a huge skeleton rib cage and across another bridge to enter a cave. Deep into the cave you will be able to rescue another Indian boy who will give you a Talisman. Continue forward through the cave and, when you get to the other end, you will need to kill a few more zombies before finding a broken bridge. You will have to use the Eagle Twana to cross the gap. On the far side you will have to kill a large flying demon and release Hinto. He gives you a shaft that will produce lightning bolts. He transports you and the girl back to the Mortal Plane. You are now back at the church talking to the priest and Jonah. He will tell you that Elizabeth wants to talk to you. Go to the jail and talk with her. Ask her how to find the Demon Gate. She will ask you to examine the great tree in the centre of the forest before she will tell you how to get to the Demon Gate. Enter the forest again and, using the map, find your way to the great tree. Pick up the Bag of Disease from the tree and return to the jail, killing lots of zombies on the way, and give it to Elizabeth and she will give you some protection for the Demon Plane. She also tells you how to enter the demon Gate. Hirrum, the drunk, tells you where to get some bones. Follow your map to the Indian Burial Ground. Go up to the gate and use the Bear Talisman. Kill the zombies and the two stick monsters. You may need to use your melee weapon or the flaming cross to deal with the stick monsters. If you touch their blue glowing hearts they will not return, but you must not be holding a weapon while you do this. Once the stick monsters are dead, the fire will go out and the path forward will be open. Continue along the path. Matt-ann-tote will try to kill you. You will have to kill him before you are able to pick up the Indian bones. Even when you have them, more zombies will appear for slaughter. Return towards town and you will automatically be taken to Asgaya's house. He will give you the Rain Vial Spell that will make thunderstorms. When you arrive back in town, Jonah will tell you that Elizabeth wants to talk with you again. He also gives you a bible as an exorcism spell. Go to the jail and give the bones to Elizabeth. She will make a Strength Twana for you that will enable you to enter the Demon Plane. She also gives you a charm to summon the Dark Wolf. Talk to Hirrum before leaving the jail and going back into the forest. The wolf will lead you to the Demon Gate. Unfortunately, on arrival at your destination, the wolf changes into Tawiscara who will try to kill you. Kill him and then walk up the mound of rocks and use your Demon Twana to enter the Demon Plane. It will start raining blood and you will be transported to the Demon Plane. Kill the skeletons as you go together with the wild dogs that will attach you. Pick up the Golden Skull. Continue along the path and kill the zombie priest and all his skeleton friends. Save the Indian child and he will give you a Gumoyoda Talisman which will enhance the user's strength. Pick up all the Golden Skulls that you find on the way. There should be five of them in total. Fight your way through the rest of the zombies etc until you arrive at a place where there are five pedestals. Put the five Golden Skulls on them and way across the water will appear. Cross the bridge that has now opened and, go forward and open the Demon Gate. Go forward to the next door where you will have to use your strength talisman to open it. Inside, Baal and a few more skeletons will meet you. Kill them all and, just as you think that you are winning, Hecaitomix will arrive. It will appear that he kills you but, in the nick of time, Asgaya arrives and sacrifices himself for you. You must now leave this land before it crumbles around you and the gate is closed forever. You have 300 seconds to make your escape which is quite adequate if you don't stop anywhere for long. When you get out, you will see that Elizabeth Styler is waiting for you. She has been taken over by Hecaitomix. You will have to use the Exorcism Bible to kill this combination. Now Elizabeth is free of Heciatomix's power and she wants you to stay but you have regained your faith and must return to your own church. Elizabeth must leave the town or she will be burnt as a witch. Perhaps you will meet again. Thus the story ends. However, if you kill Elizabeth instead of freeing her, the scene will cut to a meeting with you, the Magistrate and the Priest talking in the graveyard over Elizabeth's grave. You will be asked to stay on as the town constable but you will still decline and return to your own church. THE END - o -
