Other files have been taken from the public domain, either via the
Internet or from CDs. The original authors of these are given
credit if known.

This issue sees the Contributor of the Year 2001-2002 award which
is given to Peter Clark, the runners up being Alex van Kaam and
Carolyn Brown. Full details are given in the Editorial but
congratulations again to all of them. Their points have been
zeroed and the competition now restarts.

The next SynTax Contributor of the Year award will be made in
Issue 84, May 2003. To recap the points system points are
awarded at the rate of 1 point per published K of information in
the form of reviews, solutions, hints, maps, letters and articles.
Points are NOT awarded for graphic files such as screendumps and
photos. The points are added when the data is published, not when
it is sent in.  Files are published as soon as possible but
maintaining the balance of the magazine is also a high priority.
The prizes are fantasy figures plus free issues for the top three
contributors, the winner's also coming on a base with an engraved
plaque.

This issue I've removed the names of some people who no longer 
take SynTax from the points list. I can always reinstate their 
points if they come back, but it makes it clearer, I think.

Contributions are always welcome for old or new games, hints,
solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should
arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to
have a chance of being included in the next issue.  Second (or
third) opinions of adventures are always welcome.  Ideally I'd
like contributions on disk or by email. But you can also send
printouts, typed or hand-written contributions.
