Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: Doreen Dardon, Dave Barker, Richard Batey, Brian Burke, Peter Clark, Nick Edmunds, Stefan Herber, Richard Hewison, Andy Stenhouse, David Stocks Other files have been taken from the public domain, either via the Internet or from CDs. The original authors of these are given credit if known. The next SynTax Contributor of the Year award will be made in Issue 84, May 2003. To recap the points system, points are awarded at the rate of 1 point per published K of information in the form of reviews, solutions, hints, maps, letters and articles. Points are NOT awarded for graphic files such as screendumps and photos. The points are added when the data is published, not when it is sent in. Files are published as soon as possible but maintaining the balance of the magazine is also a high priority. The prizes are fantasy figures plus free issues for the top three contributors, the winner's also coming on a base with an engraved plaque. From now on I will remove names of anyone whose SynTax sub has lapsed after their second reminder. The current points list is: Bev Truter 219.5 Neil Shipman 182.8 Paul Hardy 165.7 Jim Johnston 164.3 Nick Edmunds 161.0 Stefan Herber 143.9 Steve Chapman 118.9 Dave Booth 94.3 Vic Horsley 93.8 Keeks 91.6 William McCole 91.4 Richard Hewison 89.4 John Ferris 82.1 David Froude 78.8 Mark Bradshaw 75.2 Phil Darke 74.9 Alison Dunbar 70.5 Karen Tyers 69.2 Julian Gregory 64.1 Richard Batey 62.3 John Betteridge 60.1 Jill Nott 59.2 Bill Commons 45.3 Jean Childs 35.6 Linda Turnham 34.3 Laura Duncan 30.9 Jenny Perry 28.0 Brian Burke 27.9 Bill Jenkins 22.1 Claire Dyard 21.5 Peter Clark 19.1 Barbara Gibb 15.0 Neil Currie 13.6 Steve Provost 13.4 Frederick Darlington 12.3 Lol Oakes 13.4 Sue Roseblade 11.5 Julia Munday 7.8 Dave Barker 6.5 Marianne Jones 6.0 David Stocks 4.2 Thommo 4.1 Peter Smith 2.4 Trevor Jones 1.0 Doreen Bardon 0.9 Jim O'Keeffe 0.6 George Rawson 0.1 Alex Ainslie 0.1 Contributions are always welcome for old or new games, hints, solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to have a chance of being included in the next issue. Second (or third) opinions of adventures are always welcome. Ideally I'd like contributions on disk or by email. But you can also send printouts, typed or hand-written contributions. - o -
