Super Nisqually Part of SynTax CD 2 Reviewed by Sue Super Nisqually is a game very much like Tetris. The basic playing area is a square made up of blocks. These are of different colours and each colour has a particular symbol associated with it. As in Tetris, the aim is to remove blocks. Unlike Tetris, more don't appear as you're playing. You just have to remove as many as you can from those visible. This is done by getting three or more in a line, horizontally or vertically. As you remove blocks, the ones above drop to fill the gaps - again, like Tetris. On each level you have to remove most of the blocks. Take it from me, there isn't much leeway! For example, on the first level, there are 64 blocks and you have to remove 56. Succeed and you go to the next level to remove 90 out of 100. Fail and it's time for a new game. The levels have different numbers of blocks and the proportions of the different colours may be different, so the game gradually gets more difficult in one way or another. You get bonus points on each level too which is related to the time taken to complete the level - the quicker you are, the higher the bonus. There are five difficulty levels. The unregistered version, available through SynTax, allows you to run the game 20 times. On each of these, you can play as many games as you want. It's certainly addictive! And if you like it enough to register it, it will cost you $19.95 through www.gamehouse.com - o -
