Money cheat:

Look at the amount of money, then save. After you save, go to the
SAVE directory and hex edit the .d2s file. Begin a search for the
amount in hex format. You can use the windows calculator if you
don't have one with the hex editor. You are supposed to get only
one match, so change this value to FFFF and you will now have
65535 gold coins. Now go back to the game and buy stuff.

Health cheat:

Do the same thing as in the money cheat, but here, you will get
two matches. The first one is the life amount that you currently
had when you saved, and the second one is for how much the maximum
health you can have is. Change both to values FFFF. Now save this
and go back to the game. Do not pay attention to the life bar,
because things will happen all the time with it.  This is because
your health is far above 9999. When your health reaches about
2000, use a minor health potion, and your health will be reset to
65535 again.
