Windows XP Issues Info from Dave Barker Following pieces in the last issue of SynTax, Dave sent me two addresses of sites you may find useful if you're being bothered by XP incompatibility problems or just want to learn more about it. The first is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/Default.a sp?contentid=28000911 This site looks way too complicated for me and I would say it's aimed more towards programmers. There's an application compatibility toolkit to download, information on a program called AppVerifier which can be used to test compatibility issues with applications and info on compatibility testing for accessibility programs such as Magnifier and Narrator. Yes, it's all w-a-y over my head but I'm sure others will understand it perfectly well.. The second is a more general one: http://www.winxpnews.com/index.cfm This is more my find of site. WinXPNews is an online mag which covers all aspects of XP including compatibility issues. There are hints and tips, articles and other info. The current issue has sections on XP security and themes. Check it out. If you find any useful sites, please let me know about them >> Sue - o -
