Prince of Qin Preview By Vic Horsley System Requirements Pentium II 266 128 MB Memory Windows 98/2000/XP 2MB Display Memory Direct X 8.0 640x480x16bit Supported This game by "Object Software Limited" is not yet ready for release and this information is based on the demo. Set in the final years of the Qin Empire (210 - 206 B.C.) in a land ravaged by chaos and death, caused by numerous wars, this story is of grand, glorious and solemn history. It is of fierce warriors, sages, bandits, robbers, drunkards and girls of virtuous upbringing, 'Prince of Qin' is a 'Action Role- Playing Game', creating a massive game world which allows the player(s) to experience the ancient land of more than 2000 years ago. If you are a 'Baldur's Gate' fan, then this may be for you, it has the same feel the moment you enter the game and the graphics are fantastic. Most actions taken or made, are done through the mouse (left click, attacking right click) with only a few requiring the keyboard, although the game can be played without touching the keyboard at all. The game can be played in Easy, Normal or Hard mode and there will be a Multi Player Game on completion. Interacting is exactly the same as 'Baldurs' with the same point and click and the circles around the players. From the game screen which has your portrait bottom centre and the various menu buttons either side of that, you can go to the Inventory, Attribute, Statistics and all other menus with just one click and you can read the background to each player. You take the role of the Crown Prince Fu Su seeking to take the Crown of the Emperor, which is rightfully yours. The Story basically runs like this; sent in the company of a top General you go on a learning mission to defend the Emperor's far lands. He believes you are weak because you are gentle and people like you, and believes this will strengthen you. All is achieved and battles won but as you and the General are about to return home, a messenger arrives from the Emperor with a order that you and the General have not accomplished your mission and have disgraced the court, both of you must commit suicide. You as the prince are about to carry out the order but the General suspects a wrongdoing and stops you. My feeling is that this will be one of year's best games when it finally surfaces.
