Editorial Yes, I'm late again! Sorry! Each issue I hope I will be on time ... then something happens and the mag drops behind. This time it's been largely down to ebay. As I mentioned in January, I've been selling a lot of books etc through it. The good news is that it's going very well and has improved my cash flow! The downside is all the packing, answering questions and dealing with emails takes a long time. Maybe I'll be more organised by next issue (but don't put money on it). Anyway, back to the plot. First of all, congratulations to Nick Edmunds who won last issue's competition and is now the proud owner of a copy of Gothic, kindly presented by Stefan Herber. Commiserations to Jan Charnley who was the only other person who entered, despite the competition being laughably easy. Sadly there was only one prize but as a consolation prize, I've extended her sub by one issue as a thank you to her for entering. Bev Truter has also gained a free issue by solving Fine Tuned, last issue's SynTax challenge. Well done Bev. This issue's challenge is actually one set by her so I hope someone else will be able to get us further in it. Has anyone been back to Caverns City and tried to complete it? The web site continues to attract visitors, some of whom email me with comments or queries. Maybe one of you can help with this one? Jennifer Spotts in the USA is trying to get hold of an old C64 program called 'Lords and Ladies'. It was originally printed in a computer magazine and needed to be typed up. It's for someone who still has a C64 as well as an emulator for his PC so any version of it will be very welcome. Please let me know if you know of it and, even better, if you can provide a copy. A date for your diary - the next Adventure Convention will be the 1st November 2003 at the Allesley Hotel, Coventry. I'll tell you more about it later but all the available info is on Nick Edmund's site at www.adventure-convention.org.uk. Check it out! Nick is also looking for feedback and contributions so do contact him if you can help. I've got an apology to make to Inferno whose solution for The Mistery is currently being serialised. I made the assumption that 'he' was a he, but he is actually a 'she'! As the female editor of a magazine, I shouldn't have made that assumption so sorry again. Jack Leung has given me permission to use his solution to Wizardry VIII so I've started serialising that this issue. With everything else keeping me busy, I haven't done much gaming in the last two months. I've been playing Andrew Clark's version of the Hobbit (and got stuck), reviewed this issue. I also bought a 3D puzzle on CD through ebay, something I've wanted for a long time. I've done the easy levels and am now battling with the third level. I'll review that next issue. My latest toy is broadband. I've got all the bits from Freeserve as they did a very good offer. It won't be enabled until Monday and I'm getting really impatient! Yes, it's been a busy two months so I'll stop there and get on with finishing the magazine. See you all next issue. Best wishes, Sue - o -
