Flea Circus Found at www.gamesdomain.co.uk/GamesArena/flea/index.html Reviewed by Sue This is a Lemmings style game and can only be played online. Instead of lemmings, you have to guide fleas from one area of the screen to another where they exit to ... who know where - some kind of flea heaven I assume. The graphics are fairly basic. The fleas don't have the cuteness of Psygnosis' Lemmings. They're just a series of moving white dots like animated dandruff. But it can still be compulsive, trying to get them to the exit safely, without losing even one of them if possible. On some levels you don't have to save every flea, just a certain minimum number. But on others you have to save all of them. There are 30 levels. Ten are easy, ten medium and ten hard. When you complete each one, you're given a password so you don't have to keep replaying levels you've already solved. As in Lemmings, there are gaps to be crossed, bombs to use or avoid, hazards such as water or spiders that will scoop up and eat any unsuspecting fleas. Bunches of balloons will help a single flea blaze a trail towards freedom by crossing a barrier while his pals wait. You have three different styles of block to help you solve each level by building barricades or bridges. One of them is a solid square brick and the others are slopes leading up and left or up and right. Flea Circus is fun and frustrating, all in one. You think you've got the blocks in the right place but one flea gets away and you have to start again. - o -
