Editorial Hello and welcome to a late issue of SynTax. I'm writing this on 21st Sept and still hoping to get the magazine out before the end of the month. But with hardly any contributions sent in, it's been a struggle getting it finished. As last issue, I've updated some of my Red Herring reviews for golden oldies that can now be downloaded from Underdogs. I think that shows I've made the right decision in stopping SynTax next year, though it was a hard decision to make and a big bit of me *really* wants to keep going. I was gratified to get messages from so many people saying that though they would be sorry to see the end of SynTax, they understood my reasons for stopping. When I last installed XP (with my broadband problems) I forgot to save my Syberia saves (drat!) and haven't had a chance to replay it. I will do, though, because it's a lovely game and I was thoroughly enjoying it. I've had an occasional look at Emperor, another great game, but by and large I've been trying demos to review them in SynTax. I find them very useful to get an idea of a game and usually I can tell from the demo whether I'll be tempted to buy the full game. The only one I have bought in the last 6 months or so is SimCity 4 as there wasn't a demo for it. I'll review it next issue. I know this is a very short Editorial, but I'll stop there and get on with the magazine proper. I hope you enjoy it and, of course, if you can help with reviews for next issue, I'd be very grateful because I now have just one left! See you in November Sue - o -
