Super Jigsaw Great Art From www.gamehouse.com Reviewed by Sue This is the latest jigsaw game from Gamehouse. This time all the images are works of art. Some are well known, others not so familiar. Ones I recognised included Bedroom at Arles, Le Bar aux Folles and Klimt's 'The Kiss'. This demo works the same as previous Gamehouse jigsaw demos. Select the puzzle you want to do and then pick a difficulty level. Pieces can be square or traditional jigsaw shape and the puzzle from 4 to 442 pieces. Individual puzzle pieces can be skewed a lot, slightly or not at all and there's an option to start with some pieces rotated which would add to the difficulty. Pushing the 'Start' button also starts the clock - you can play the demo for just 60 minutes. Pieces are picked up by clicking on them then dragging them with the mouse. If you've selected the rotation option, tapping the space bar turns the current piece through 90 degrees. An 'edges only' option from the main menu hides all non-edge pieces if you're like me and like to do the edges first. If the pieces get piled up, hold CTRL and click the mouse to move them apart. And if they don't show up well, you can change the background colour. While you start playing, a preview of the finished picture is displayed at the top left but you can turn this off if you'd prefer. There are lots of other options such as shuffling the pieces. When you finish a puzzle, the full game lets you save it as your desktop background but the demo doesn't. If you like jigsaws, you'll enjoy this program. But I must admit I still prefer a proper cut puzzle to a computer version. - o -
