Xenomorph - Playing Guide sent in by Alex van Kaam Your mission is: find new chips for your CNS find 3 anti-matter pods find a navigation disk find an operating system disk Finding chips : At the bridge of your ship there is a CNS system. Take out the first board, put it in your hand and write down how many chips are damaged eg 4 black az. Now put the board back and get the second one and so on till you have had all six. Remember you must put back the same kind of chips on the boards. All over the complex of Atargatis there are some CNS systems, write down (on a map) where they are. Do not take out the chips when you are still exploring the complex because they control it. Anti-matter pod: There are 3 anti-matter drives on your ship and there are 3 on the complex, so write down where they are and take them on your way up to your ship, because if you walk around with them too long, your radiation level will rise very quickly. The 2 disks : These two disks are on the lowest level. They are guarded by a green monster which sits in a great blue robot. Once you have finished him, you can get the disks and go up to your ship and now you can get the anti-matter and the chips. Food/coffee : You don't have to keep your food and water level up all the time. When you find a machine you can get some of it. The only thing that happens if your food or water level is low is that your stamina level drops and you move a bit slower. ID/Credit card : Your ID card is used for medicals and for recharging your ammo and power modules. Your credit card is used to get food and coffee. (Half way you'll find some new credit/ID cards). Security pass : Whenever you find a new pass you can drop the old one, so if you are at a door that can't be opened (there is one in the beginning, behind it is an anti-matter pod) it can be opened with a new higher level pass. Power modules : Keep every power module that you find even if it is empty, you can recharge it later. The best ammo : The best ammo is the power module, then comes the ammo for your magnum. You can drop that later on for the ammo for the assault rifle. The needles don't do much damage. The shells for the rocket launcher do a lot of damage but they are all just one shot. Remember you can recharge ALL ammo. The weapons : The following are all powered by a power module. Remember the bigger the gun the more power it uses from the module, but when you fire a complete module empty with the particle accelerator it does much more damage than the same amount of energy with the laser pistol or even the laser rifle. - laser pistol : drop it only for the rifle. - laser rifle : drop it only for the particle accelerator. - stun gun : when you stun a monster, after a while it will be following you again, so no use at all. - accelerator : the best weapon there is (just listen to that sound) The following weapons have their own kind of ammo: - magnum : keep it as your second weapon when all your power modules are empty, it does some good damage. - needle gun : no use at all, there is lots of ammo about but it doesn't do a lot of damage. - rocket launcher : with the right kind of shell it does a lot of damage but each shell is only one shot so it takes a lot of room. - assault rifle: now you can drop the magnum and use this as your second weapon. Mines : The only useful mine is the gravity mine. Monsters : You can shoot all of the monsters except the green blobs, they only crystallise for a while. Tactics : IF IT MOVES, SHOOT IT!!!!! and save your position a lot.
