Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: Peter Clark, Steve Chapman, Neil Currie, Phil Darke, Stefan Herber, Vic Horsley, Bev Truter Thanks also to Abutaib Shahriyar Syed, Tally Ho, and Jack 'Bullions' Leung for letting me use their solutions from the Internet. Other files have been taken from the public domain, either via the Internet or from CDs. The original authors of these are given credit if known. Only SynTax subscribers are eligible for an award. The final SynTax Contributor of the Year award will be made in Issue 90, May 2004. To recap the points system, points are awarded at the rate of 1 point per published K of information in the form of reviews, solutions, hints, maps, letters and articles. Points are NOT awarded for graphic files such as screendumps and photos. The points are added when the data is published, not when it is sent in. Files are published as soon as possible but maintaining the balance of the magazine is also a high priority. The prizes are fantasy figures for the top three contributors, the winner's also coming on a base with an engraved plaque. There won't be any free issues for obvious reasons! From now on I will remove names of anyone whose SynTax sub has lapsed after their second reminder. The new points list is: Stefan Herber 186.5 Neil Shipman 182.8 Nick Edmunds 176.4 Paul Hardy 172.9 Steve Chapman 165.4 Jim Johnston 164.3 Dave Booth 118.0 William McCole 91.4 John Ferris 90.9 David Froude 90.6 Richard Hewison 89.4 Phil Darke 82.8 Alison Dunbar 70.5 Karen Tyers 69.2 Julian Gregory 66.5 Richard Batey 65.6 John Betteridge 60.1 Bill Commons 45.3 Jean Childs 35.6 Linda Turnham 34.3 Brian Burke 28.4 Jenny Perry 28.0 Vic Horsley 27.7 Alex van Kaam 25.4 Bill Jenkins 24.1 Barbara Gibb 15.0 Robbies Dog 14.1 Steve Provost 13.4 Dave Barker 11.5 Sue Roseblade 11.5 Marianne Jones 6.0 Carolyn Brown 5.9 Dog Solitude 5.5 Fernando Poo 4.6 David Stocks 4.2 Bev Truter 4.2 Peter Clark 2.8 George Rawson 0.1 Alex Ainslie 0.1 Contributions are always welcome for old or new games, hints, solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to have a chance of being included in the next issue. Second (or third) opinions of adventures are always welcome. Ideally I'd like contributions on disk or by email. But you can also send printouts, typed or hand-written contributions. - o -
